Torches, buddies and trips!
What a fantastic week we have had, we are all so lucky to have seen two real Olympic torches, one from 1948 and a 2012 torch! We enjoyed making our own torches and parading with them. We know lots of facts and are keen to learn more about the Olympics in our topic next term.
Next week we are going to meet our buddies and will be getting ready to spend the week in the upper school after half term.
We are really looking forward to our school trip!

Term 4
We thoroughly enjoyed our topic on the Native Americans. We have been making tepees, headdresses and dream catchers.
We have made the most of our school grounds and have been tracking animal footprints and building tepees in Forest School .
2H really enjoyed welcoming parents to our assembly where we shared all that we know about the Native Americans.
Term 5
Welcome back to Mrs O’Gara it’s great to have you back.
Thank you to parents who were able to attend the SATs meeting. An information sheet was given out following this meeting. Please see your class teachers if you have any questions.

Term 3
We have had a lovely start to Term 3 and all the children have been working hard.
In Literacy we have been looking at traditional stories and the children have particularly enjoyed learning about the three little pigs, Jack and the beanstalk and Rapunzel. For the next two weeks we will be focusing on pirate stories and the children will be creating their own pirate character, setting and adventure! We will also be designing our own pirate flags.
In Maths this term we have continued our work on money and have also introduced the children to multiplication. Lots of the children have been beginning to work on their times tables at home, which is helping them. We have also looked at block graphs and pictograms and have focused on interpreting data from the graphs we have drawn. In the coming weeks we will be learning about hundreds, tens and units, rounding to the nearest 10 and addition and subtraction.
